Verdict

Guard Of Honour sprang a 33/1 surprise at Southwell on Thursday but has a penalty to carry and is giving a stone and upwards to his rivals. Arty Campbell makes more appeal after recording a rare victory at Hereford 12 days ago. BUBBLE O’CLOCK loomed up off the home turn to challenge hot favourite Mill Green at Newton Abbot in July but was quickly left behind. However, he starts off in handicaps off a lowly mark and is probably capable of better. Cahill also warrants a mention and Dovils Date could figure if on a going day.
