Verdict

Dane O'Neill: "You wouldn't say it was cosy, but I always felt I was holding the other horse. When he hits the front he just has a look about which is why the blinkers help him. He's a typical Roger Varian horse, he improves with racing and hopefully there's more to come. I'd say he's earned a crack at a Listed race before the season is out."

Roger Varian: "I thought he was unlucky not to win his two starts before his last two wins. He is a horse that just keeps progressing. He is not very big and today he has won off top weight against older horses in softer ground. I am really pleased with the performance. I don't know what is left this season but if he stays around in training next year he will make a really exciting four-year-old sprinter. He is fast and tough, which you need to be. I have got a bit of a soft spot for him as he just keeps pulling out more which you need to keep doing in those five-furlong races."
