Bradford Bulls v Widnes Vikings: Super 8s Qualifiers preview
Last Updated: 06/09/15 5:38pm
Bradford will attempt to claim their second Super League scalp in as many games when they host Widnes at Odsal on Sunday.
The Bulls smashed Salford by 31 points in their last outing, becoming the first Championship side to beat Super League opposition in the Qualifiers, and victory over the Vikings will boost their hopes of securing a return to the top flight at the first attempt.
Head coach James Lowes had made two changes to his 19-man squad. Matt Ryan and James Mendeika are recalled at the expense of Jean-Philippe Baile and Harry Siejka.
"We know we are capable of getting promoted and we need to get it done in our remaining games. If we do what we train to do, we can do it," said Dale Ferguson, who scored Bradford's opening try against Salford.
"We showed that we could more than hold our own against Super League opposition last time out against Salford.
"They are a class act and we have taken a lot of positives from that game."
Widnes' 100 per cent start to the Qualifiers was ended by Challenge Cup finalists Hull KR last month, but they remain second in the standings.
Stefan Marsh misses Sunday's game with a foot injury, which means Patrick Ah Van is likely to face his former side.
