Hooker Shaunt Lunt crossed for two of the Giants' eight tries, meaning Paul Anderson's side have now registered 112 points in their last two home matches.
Lunt - a Grand Final winner during his loan spell at Leeds last season - created the opener when his slick pass allowed Craig Kopczak to crash over.
Michael Lawrence stepped through to get a second and after landing both conversion attempts, Danny Brough slotted over a penalty in the 19th minute to make it 14-0 to the home team.
Brilliant work
Brilliant work by Brett Ferres and Scott Grix set Lunt running free from 50 metres out as Huddersfield ticked along at a point-a-minute rate in the opening quarter.
Rovers did reply through Craig Hall and they threatened to make a game of it when former Giants full-back Greg Eden touched down against his old employers, Michael Dobson adding the extras on both occasions.
However, the Giants gave themselves a bit of breathing space with a try from Joe Wardle that was superbly converted from the touchline by Brough.
Eden grabbed his second try of the afternoon shortly after the re-start and although Grix crossed for the hosts, Con Mika's effort just after the hour makr meant there was only eight points in it.
Huddersfield, though, pulled away in the remainder of the match; Lunt and Wardle both completed their braces, their tries sandwiched in between one from forward Brett Ferres.
Brough was on target all three times from the tee to finish with 18 points, though it was Hull KR who had the last word when David Hodgson - another ex-Giant in the visiting line-up - dived over for converted a try at the death.
