Hull KR v Widnes Vikings: First Utility Super League preview
Last Updated: 14/06/15 6:05pm
Tyrone McCarthy will captain Hull KR in Sunday’s must-win Super League game with Widnes Vikings at the KC Lightstream Stadium.
The Robins are without skipper Terry Campese after he picked up a knee injury in last week’s home defeat to Castleford.
That loss, Hull KR’s 10th in 16 Super League games, leaves them three points behind ninth-placed Widnes and in danger of being consigned to the Middle 8s.
Chris Chester welcomes back forwards Adam Walker, Shaun Lunt and Graeme Horne back from injury along with goal-kicking winger Josh Mantellato, who was a late withdrawal from the Castleford game.
Widnes coach Denis Betts includes half-back Danny Craven in his squad after recalling him from his loan spell at Halifax.
Centre Chris Dean returns from injury, enabling Matt Whitley to revert to the second row in place of the injured Danny Galea.
