The family of Jansin Turgut flew out to Ibiza on Tuesday to be with him in hospital, after the former Salford player fell from a third-storey car park.

Turgut suffered serious head injuries as a result of the fall while he was on holiday.

He remains in a critical condition in the Nuestra Senora del Rosario Clinic in Ibiza, after being taken there in the early hours of Monday morning.

Sky Sports News understands Rugby League Cares - a charity which helps the sport across the board, from grassroots to professionals - is working with Turgut's family and offering them support.

Turgut, a former England Youth captain, was released by Salford earlier this month, after a short-term deal that was terminated due to an "off-the-field" matter.
