Last Updated: 26/03/15 7:31pm
Widnes Vikings will be without a number of first-teamers for Thursday’s First Utility Super League clash with Salford Red Devils at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Vikings head coach Denis Betts has lost second-rowers Danny Tickle and Danny Galea to injury and is still without Hep Cahill, Patrick Ah Van, Lloyd White and skipper Kevin Brown.
However, prop Eamon O’Carroll and centre Chris Dean are set to return after missing last Sunday’s 20-16 success over Hull KR.
Salford’s three-game unbeaten streak was ended by Castleford last weekend and they could give a debut to former St Helens forward Carl Forster.
Forster has been included in Iestyn Harris’ 19-man squad in place of the injured Jordan Walne, with hooker Liam Hood is set to make his third appearance following the suspension of Theo Fages.
Full-back Kevin Locke and back rower Cory Paterson also return, along with three-quarter Mason Caton-Brown.
Salford Red Devils: Mason Caton-Brown, Rangi Chase, Michael Dobson, Niall Evalds, Carl Forster, Darrell Griffin, Josh Griffin, Harrison Hansen, Weller Hauraki, Liam Hood, Greg Johnson, Ben Jones-Bishop, Tommy Lee, Kevin Locke, Adrian Morley, Cory Paterson, Junior Sa’u, Lama Tasi, Scott Taylor.
Widnes Vikings: Chris Clarkson, Danny Craven, Chris Dean, Gil Dudson, Paddy Flynn, Alex Gerrard, Grant Gore, Rhys Hanbury, Aaron Heremaia, Declan Hulme, Phil Joseph, Ben Kavanagh, Macgraff Leuluai, Manase Manuokafoa, Stefan Marsh, Joe Mellor, Eamon O’Carroll, Jack Owens, Cameron Phelps.
