St Helens v Leeds Rhinos: First Utility Super League preview
Last Updated: 17/04/15 7:25pm
Kallum Watkins is set to return for Leeds Rhinos in Friday’s First Utility Super League trip to St Helens.
England centre Watkins missed last Sunday’s win at Salford through illness but he has been named in Brian McDermott’s 19-man squad.
Jimmy Keinhorst could make his first appearance of the season at Langree Park. The 24-year-old’s inclusion is the one other change as the Rhinos chase a sixth successive Super League win.
St Helens snapped a three-game losing streak at Huddersfield last weekend and Keiron Cunningham makes just one change to his squad.
Centre Josh Jones comes in for the injured Matt Dawson as Saints attempt to cut the Rhinos’ lead at the top of the table to two points.
Leeds have won nine of their opening 10 games in 2015 and captain Kevin Sinfield insists they have yet to hit their straps.
"Any game against Saints is a big one," said Sinfield. "They are both tremendous clubs and I think Keiron has got them playing really well.
"They are the current champions and it's always been tough for us to go there.
"It's important that we keep trying to pick up two points every week. We've had some decent wins over Easter but I think we all believe we can perform a lot better."
