Wakefield expect to have scrum-half Sam Obst back after he missed last week's defeat at Leeds with a hamstring strain.
Obst's return will enable Tony Martin to revert to his more accustomed role at centre.
Salford are expected to be unchanged for the trip across the Pennines, although former Wakefield winger Paul White could come into contention after recovering from a knee injury.
