Trent Barrett looks set to return from a hamstring injury to boost Wigan's play-off push against Wakefield on Friday evening.
Barrett, who is returning to Australia at the end of the season, missed the 16-16 draw away at Catalans Dragons last Saturday but has since returned to training.
The stand-off is named in coach Brian Noble's initial 19-man squad, which also includes all of those on duty in Perpignan.
Noble is still without Sean O'Loughlin (shoulder) and Gareth Hock (suspension).
The Warriors are currently fifth in the engage Super League table, six points above the seventh-placed Wildcats.
Obst out
But Wakefield travel to the JJB Stadium with their season reaching crisis point after a run of seven straight defeats.
The club were forced to deny reports that coach John Kear had left following last Sunday's 48-22 defeat at home to Castleford.
Wakefield have lost hooker Sam Obst, who has a hernia problem, as well as full-back Matt Blaymire and back-rower Brett Ferres, who have both suffered shoulder injuries.
Their replacements are Brad Drew, Paul Reilly and Duncan MacGillivray, while winger Matt Petersen returns from a rib injury and there is a place for prop Richard Moore
