The Brumbies have made two changes to their squad to play the Stormers in Saturday's Super 14 clash at Canberra Stadium.
Peter Kimlin returns to the Brumbies starting line-up after scoring a try off the bench in his side's 40-27 win over the Cheetahs at Vodacom Park last weekend.
Kimlin replaces lock Mark Chisholm who will miss the remainder of the regular Super 14 season after suffering a dislocation in his right wrist in Bloemfontein last Saturday.
Kimlin's promotion to the run-on side makes way for flanker Henry Vanderglas, who is set to make his Super 14 debut off the bench.
23-year-old Vanderglas has been a regular in the Australian Sevens squad during 2009, including recently returning from the national side's quarter-final finish during last weekend's Adelaide Sevens tournament.
The Brumbies will also pay tribute to Shawn Mackay on Saturday after the lock passed away on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest in a Durban hospital brought on by a blood infection.
His Brumbies teammates will wear black armbands for the match and for the remainder of the season while the crowd on hand at Canberra Stadium will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a 'pause for applause'.
Friend says it is a fitting tribute for the popular member of the squad.
"We wanted to give people the opportunity to pay their respects in a way that reflected the sort of person Shawn was," Friend said.
"Shawn was a very positive and upbeat individual who had an enthusiastic and genuine approach to life. As a result we thought that a positive celebration of Shawn's life was more appropriate than a sombre one.
'I spoke to [Shawn's father] John Mackay this week who told me that the only thing the family asked was that we win this weekend against the Stormers. It has been a challenging week for Brumbies Rugby but adversity like this can often galvanise a group and we'll be doing our utmost to ensure that we fulfill the Mackay's wish on Saturday."
Stormers coach Rassie Erasmus has made just one change to his team for their fixture with the Brumbies on Saturday.
Loosehead prop Wicus Blaauw has been named on the bench in place of JD Moller while Peter Grant continues at fly-half.
