Bulls v Cheetahs: Teams

The Bulls welcome back Springbok lock Bakkies Botha for the Super 14 derby clash against the Cheetahs at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Botha has served his three-week suspension after an incident on tour in the match against the Waratahs in Sydney.

He slots straight into his number four jersey at the expense of Danie Rossouw, who drops down to the bench.

Heini Adams gets a start at scrum-half following Fourie du Preez's calf injury, and Francois Hougaard will provide cover at half-back from the bench.

Coach Frans Ludeke says Adams is eager to show his worth and backs him one hundred per cent to do the job on Saturday.

Positive light

"Losing Fourie is obviously a setback to us but we would like to see it in a positive light. He has been playing in all of our matches and this break possibly comes at just the right time," said Ludeke.

"This is an opportunity for Heini to get game time and we are in a very fortunate position to have three top scrumhalves in the system.

"I have a lot of trust in Heini's abilities and we are all looking forward to the game."

Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made only one change to the side that lost to the Waratahs last weekend.

Centre Corné Uys is fit again and replaces Piet van Zyl, who drops out of the match 22 altogether with JW Jonker retaining his place on the bench after his good performance last week.
