Bulls captain Victor Matfield will pass another milestone on Friday when he makes his 100th Super Rugby appearance in the match against Hurricanes.
Matfield, who celebrated his 50th match as captain against the Highlanders, has played 91 times for the Bulls after making eight appearances with the Cats.
Coach Frans Ludeke has also recalled Deon Stegmann to the starting XV, with Derick Kuün dropping down to the bench.
Prop Bees Roux has been provisionally named on the bench despite having suffered a nasty cut to the head in the win over the Highlanders.
Hurricanes coach has reacted angrily to his side's defeat to the Stormers by axing five players.
Piri Weepu is the most high-profile of those dropped, with Scott Waldrom, David Smith, Bryn Evans and Jacob Ellison on the bench against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld.
