Michael Swift is set to equal Eric Elwood's appearance record for Connacht for the trip to Cardiff.
Swift has been named on the bench but he will make his 100th Magners League appearance - and 161st for the province - should he be called upon.
John Muldoon will also reach a century of league appearances in the match, with the skipper set to lead a strong line-up.
