The two unbeaten sides in Pool Two of the Heineken Cup will collide when the Blues entertain leaders Edinburgh.
Both teams have seen off Racing Metro and London Irish in their opening games this season but Cardiff are set to start as favourites.
With the international players returning, Cardiff have made 11 changes following their heavy defeat to Leinster last time out.
Leigh Halfpenny, Sam Warburton, Jamie Roberts and Gethin Jenkins are among the players to return for the Blues.
Five of the changes come in the backs - with only Casey Laulala and Chris Czekaj retaining their places in the starting XV.
In the forwards, Xavier Rush, Paul Tito and Fau Filise will keep their places.
Gilchrist out
While the Blues have made wholesale changes, Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley has made just one personnel change.
Former Sale forward Sean Cox moves from the blindside flank to second row with young lock Grant Gilchrist ruled out with a shoulder injury.
The gap in the back-row is filled by No.8 Stuart McInally, with David Denton moving back across to blindside.
"We are perhaps playing the in-form team of the group in Edinburgh - they seem to be scoring tries for fun," Blues forwards coach Justin Burnell said.
"Edinburgh play a very open and expansive game, and I think you can see from the tries they score that a lot of them are from broken play or turnovers.
"So we have to be very aware of not giving easy turnovers or kicking that ball into the wrong areas to (Tim) Visser and their back three."
