Centre Robert Ebersohn will make his Super 14 debut for the Cheetahs for the visit of Hurricanes on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was initially due to start against the Highlanders last time out, only to pull out with a knock.
Ebersohn, though, will now start at outside centre in one of five changes from the line-up that went down 31-24 to the Otago franchise.
Coach Naka Drotske has moved Lionel Mapoe back to the wing, with Hennie Daniller, Sarel Pretorius and Walti Vermuelen also coming into the starting XV.
The Hurricanes will hand starting debuts to Aaron Cruden, Andre Taylor and Alapati Leiua for the trip to the Cheetahs.
Fly-half Cruden and winger Taylor have previously appeared off the bench, while centre Leiua will be making his first ever Super 14 appearance.
The trio are part of five changes made following the win over the Lions, with Michael Paterson moving into the second row to replace the injured Jason Eaton and Victor Vito coming into the backrow.
Anthony Perenise, Jeremy Thrush and Brett Mather have all been drafted on to the bench.
