The Chiefs have seen prop Sona Taumalolo ruled out of Friday's visit of the Stormers.
Taumalolo has damaged his shoulder, so he is replaced by 21-year old Toby Smith, with Nathan White promoted to the bench.
The match will mark Smith's starting debut, with his three previous Super 14 appearances having come from the bench.
The Stormers have retained the same starting XV that beat the Blues for the trip to Hamilton.
That means Stormers scrum-half Dewaldt Duvenage has passed a fitness test after fears over a calf injury.
Coach Allister Coetzee has made one change on the bench, though, with prop JC Kritzinger replacing Eusebio Guinazu.
