Edinburgh recorded their biggest ever Magners League win with a 62-13 result over Connacht at Murrayfield.
The Scottish side ran in eight tries to blitz their opponents while Chris Paterson ended the night with a personal haul of 27 points.
All this came after Connacht had taken the lead, Ian Keatley landing his second penalty attempt after Edinburgh flanker Alan MacDonald had been sin-binned.
However Edinburgh hit straight back from the kick-off when Phil Godman's inside pass set Mark Robertson heading off for a try underneath the posts.
Paterson landed two penalties but Keatley kept the visitors in touch with three points, although it was the home team doing the majority of the attacking.
In the end, though, their second try came courtesy of an error by their opponents, a fumble by scrum-half Frank Murphy being hacked on by lock Craig Hamilton for Ben Cairns to gather and finish.
One-sided half
Paterson's conversion gave Edinburgh a 20-6 lead at the break and they moved further clear in a one-sided second half.
Cairns set up Paterson for the first of two tries in the opening nine minutes, Robertson grabbing the other to complete his brace.
Ally Hogg waltzed over as Connacht - who by this stage were down to 13 men - were caught short of numbers off the back of a scrumclose to their line.
Andy Turnbull's solo run led to the next five-pointer with Paterson maintaining his unblemished kicking record for the night as he converted the lot.
Connacht did manage a consolation from Fionn Carr but that only seemed to anger their rivals, who scored a seventh before the final whistle. Roddy Grant touched down to allow Paterson to add his latest, and last, conversion that rounded out the scoring.
