Glasgow have made five changes for their derby clash with Edinburgh on Boxing Day.
The match - which counts as the first leg of the David Lloyd 1872 Cup - has seen Glasgow coach Sean Lineen shuffle his pack following the Heineken Cup defeat to Bath.
Fit-again hooker Dougie Hall and prop Ed Kalman will start ahead of Fergus Thomson and Moray Low, who are both benched.
Dan Turner also drops to the bench with skipper Alastair Kellock returning.
In the backs, international Graeme Morrison has been passed fit to play. However Lome Fa'atau has been ruled out so Hefin O'Hare and Thom Evans line up on the wings.
Recovered
Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson has made four changes for the clash with Ross Ford, Gavin Kerr, Ross Rennie and John Houston all returning to the line-up.
Scotland hooker Ford has recovered from a rib injury to take the No.2 shirt alongside fellow international front-rower Kerr.
Rennie returns to the back-row following suspension, while Houston is the only change in the backs after being handed the No.14 shirt ahead of the injured Mark Robertson.
And skipper Mike Blair is relishing the chance to play in the derby clash.
Blair said: "Everyone is excited about the prospect of playing in front of a record crowd for an Edinburgh game.
"Derbies always create a special atmosphere and this match should prove to be a memorable event; the perfect way to finish 2008.
"Obviously last season we didn't manage to win the 1872 Cup, so we will be determined to bring the trophy back to Edinburgh this time around."
