Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson has called for an improved showing as his side prepare to welcome the Scarlets to Murrayfield for Friday's Magners League clash.
The Scots have lost their last two games and Robinson is well aware of the pressure that is mounting on his side.
"We have been disappointed with the results, but we understand what we need to do," Robinson said.
"Last season we won a handful of games by really small margins when we managed to perform to the best of our abilities.
"So we realise we have to be at our very best in order to win and eradicate the error-count that has crept into our performances over recent weeks.
"We need to be able to perform for eighty minutes against Scarlets, who will provide a tough challenge."
In team news there is a first start of the season for Andrew Turnbull, as Chris Paterson moves to full-back to accommodate last season's top try scorer at the club.
Broken
Hugo Southwell gets a rare outing at centre, whilst in the pack Alan MacDonald returns after missing last week's game through a hip injury. New signing Jim Hamilton takes his place on the bench and will make his debut if he comes on.
The Scarlets will hand Wales U20 flanker Josh Turnball a first Magners League start, as he comes into the side at number six.
However they will be without Deacon Manu for at least two months after it was revealed the prop had broken his cheekbone in the win over Connacht.
The Stradey Park outfit, though, will welcome back Regan King for his first outing of the season. The influential All Black centre has been named on the bench for the trip to Murrayfield having recovered from a hamstring problem.
Jon Davies starts in midfield having scored a try after coming on as a replacement against Connacht. Sililo Martens takes over from Martin Roberts at scrum-half, with Iestyn Thomas, Ken Owens and Meeuws forming an all-new front row.
