England prop Duncan Bell will be out to prove he is not just a "stop-gap" when he takes on Argentina's feared front-row at Twickenham.
With 10 props unavailable through injury or suspension, the 35-year-old Bell is set to make only his fourth appearance for England - and his first start since 2005.
And Bell, who overcome a career-threatening injury, is determined to take his chance against Argentina's front row of Rodrigo Roncero, Mario Ledesma and Martin Scelzo.
"I am acutely aware I am here because of injuries but I have to go in with the mindset of not being a stop-gap," said Bell.
"I was out for over a year and it is a big achievement just getting back. It would have been so frustrating to have had to retire then.
"I would have always had that thing in the back of my mind saying 'I played for England but I wouldn't necessarily call my career a success'.
"People would die for two caps but I would never have seen it as a success so to play in these games is really important for me.
"Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are all big teams but as a prop you want to play against Argentina because they are regarded throughout the world as the best scrummaging outfit.
"If you have played against Argentina and come out on top or with parity you can think 'I am not half bad'.
"Argentina are certainly very passionate people - but I am a passionate person. There is no point in playing if you don't want to play for your country."
Bell comes into the England line-up in place of his injured Bath club-mate David Wilson, with boss Martin Johnson making four changes in total.
Dylan Hartley also comes into the front row, while there is a return in the back-row for James Haskell.
Backlash
Paul Hodgson gets the nod at scrum-half ahead of Danny Care, while Paul Doran-Jones is poised to make his debut off the bench. Lions flanker Joe Worsley is also named among the replacements.
Argentina centre Gonzalo Tiesi has warned his team-mates to watch out for a backlash following England's 18-9 defeat to Australia.
Tiesi, who plays in the Premiership for Harlequins, believes the Pumas need to control the pace of the game if they are to succeed.
"England were beaten in the contact area (against the Wallabies) and in the physicality and they will touch their pride a little bit," said Tiesi.
"It was defence that won Australia the game. If we can put them under pressure and keep Jonny Wilkinson controlled it will be a different game."
Injuries to star fly-half Juan Martín Hernández and captain Felipe Contepomi means Argentina have turned to Santiago Fernandez pull the strings at Twickenham.
With Contepomi ruled out, Juan Fernandez Lobbe - a team-mate of England No.10 Jonny Wilkinson at Toulon - will captain the side.
