Glasgow hooker Fergus Thomson will make his first appearance of the season in Sunday's Heineken Cup clash with Bath at Firhill.
The 25-year-old had been sidelined after having surgery on his shoulder in the summer, however he has now been declared fit to line-up alongside props Justin Va'a and Moray Low to tackle Bath.
Dan Parks also returns to the side at fly-half, despite Ruaridh Jackson earning rave reviews in the 35-31 loss at The Rec.
Parks will also captain the side with Alastair Kellock out injured, while Dan Turner comes into the second row.
"It's important the boys make a statement after last weekend's game. It was entertaining, but it wasn't a win," head coach Sean Lineen said.
"Bath have made it quite clear that they're coming here looking to win, but the crowd at Firhill have been fantastic and they'll be our 16th man on Sunday."
Opportunity
Despite victory over Glasgow last weekend, Bath will be keen to tighten their defence this week, and according to assistant coach Brad Davies it was just a blip.
"We know there were parts of the game where we let ourselves down," said Davis.
"We know we are better than how we performed out on the pitch and the great thing is that we are playing the same team seven days later and have the opportunity to put things right."
Returning from injury ahead of the return match are Bath favourites Joe Maddock, Danny Grewcock and co-captain Alex Crockett.
Maddock, third highest try scorer in the Guinness Premiership at the moment, suffered a dislocated eye socket, but is now fighting fit and ready to for the second leg against Glasgow.
"It is great that he is back," confirmed Davis.
"He has come back a little earlier than expected, but to have a player of his calibre available for selection is great news for the team."
