Glasgow Warriors are hoping to return to winning form when they welcome back Scotland centre Max Evans from injury in their Magners League home clash against Connacht.
Evans, who injured his knee against the Ospreys earlier this year, impressed when he made his comeback to competitive rugby last weekend for Scottish Hydro Premier One club Glasgow Hawks.
Also returning to the fold is Scotland under-20 lock Richie Gray, who gets his first start of the season after recovering from an elbow injury sustained on the Warriors' pre-season tour of France.
Head coach Sean Lineen believes the Scotland pair, who are the latest players to return to the Warriors team since an outbreak of flu, could help boost the squad's performance in front of a home crowd at Firhill.
"We're really looking forward to them coming back. Max is a quality player. He adds another dimension to the outside centre play with his ability to beat his opposite man and has a little bit more experience now," said Lineen.
"He got a taste of Scotland action last year and wants to get back in there.
"Richie Gray played against Connacht in his first game last season and made a big impact, literally. He's a big lad. He's young but creates a pretty potent second-row combination with Al Kellock and I'm looking forward to seeing that work."
Rotates
Meanwhile, Connacht are looking to translate their European form into the Magners League after defeating Montepellier in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
This visit to Firhill will see two changes to the side which defeated the French outfit last weekend.
Sean Cronin replaces Adrian Flavin at hooker, while Ian Keatley rotates with Miah Nikora to start at fly-half. Nikora drops down to the bench.
Ray Ofisa and Robbie Morris return to the squad and are selected among the replacements.
