Scotland Sevens star Dave McCall will make his debut for Glasgow as he returns to Magners League action at Firhill.
The centre made three appearances for Edinburgh in 2006/07 and comes into the starting line-up at the expense of Peter Murchie.
"I was really grateful when Sean [Lineen] called and discussed joining Glasgow on a training contract," said the 22-year-old.
"I've really enjoyed being part of the squad and feel that being out of the professional game for a few years has reinforced my appetite for the game at this level.
"The Ospreys are a quality side and I'm really looking forward to getting another opportunity to perform in the Magners League."
Head coach Lineen reverses the six changes he made for last weekend's defeat to the Dragons as he looks to extend the Ospreys poor run of just one win in four visits to Scotland.
"We have to take what happened last week [a 30-19 away loss to the Dragons] on the chin. We've had two good wins at home but that's not to say we don't have to work for another," he said.
"We're up against a really tough outfit but the players have worked very hard this week and it's vital we get a big vocal crowd along to cheer us on."
Ospreys name Ian Evans in the 22 for the first time since last November after he underwent ACL surgery following a knee injury he picked up playing for Wales against New Zealand.
Alun-Wyn Jones and Shane Williams make their first starts since the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa, while Steve Tandy is also handed his first start of the season.
"We need to get on a bit of a roll and get some performances under our belt, starting at Glasgow," said Ospreys head coach Sean Holley.
"It was a happy hunting ground for us last year, we played well up there, but it's always a very difficult place to go so we're under no illusions,"
"We realise the season is a long haul and that's what we've focused on this week, working at what we believe is right and keep trying to improve."
