Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has named five outgoing players in his starting XV for the Magners League clash with the Scarlets on Friday.
Bernardo Stortoni, Kevin Tkachuk, Aly Muldowney, Richie Vernon and James Eddie have all been selected for the Warriors' final home game of the season at Firhill.
Chris Cusiter is also included, with the Scotland scrum-half continuing his return from injury by making his first home appearance of the season.
Lineen is confident that the outgoing quintet will rise to the occasion for what will be their final match in Glasgow colours at Firhill.
"It was a tough call to make (handing the leavers a start) but it was for the right reasons," Lineen said.
"But I have a huge amount of respect for the players and what they have done for this club over the years.
"When you look at some of the names like Bernardo Stortoni, Kevin Tkachuk, James Eddie and Richie Vernon, these guys are fantastic players.
Emotional
"You know they're going to give their all in front of a home crowd - it will be quite an emotional night but it has to be a professional night too. We have to go about doing our job right."
The sixth-placed Scarlets can still qualify for the play-offs, but will have to reverse a poor run of form which has seen them slump to three defeats in their last four matches.
Wales fly-half Stephen Jones is given the No. 10 short ahead of Rhys Priestland, while Scott Williams comes into the centres in place of Regan King.
The Scarlets suffered a 13-6 loss to Munster last Saturday, and head coach Nigel Davies knows his side need to improve to keep their title hopes alive.
He said: "We were disappointed with the final result last week against Munster, in many areas of the game we out-played and performed them but lacked that edge and winning mentality - which Munster have.
"It was a performance reflective of our season, with a lot of promise but we're just not able to finish off tight encounters.
"We've created lots of scoring opportunities and played all the rugby - but we have to be more accurate and balance our performance with the right mentality to win."
