Gloucester star James Simpson-Daniel has highlighted David Strettle as the key threat to his side's hopes of victory against Harlequins.
The Cherry and Whites have made flying start to the season, moving to the top of the Guinness Premiership and making unbeaten starts in the EDF Energy Cup and Heineken Cup.
However, Gloucester's last domestic game saw them crash to a 15-10 defeat to London Irish.
And Simpson-Daniel knows that Quins will provide another tough test of their title credentials - especially with Andy Gomarsall and Chris Malone orchestrating their backline.
However, 'Sinbad' knows that it is Strettle, in his new role at outside centre, that Gloucester need to overcome.
He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "We've got to challenge him there and be realistic.
"I can't see us getting round the outside of him because he's extremely quick. They've got (Simon) Keogh and (Ugo) Monye on the wings and that's serious gas.
"We'd be naive to shovel it out and try and skip around them. We need to be direct.
Clever
"We all know what Gommars is capable of and Malone is a very clever player. Add that to the speed they've got and they're looking a very good side."
Gloucester have welcomed Andy Hazell back to their line-up after the flanker recovered from a rib injury, while Gareth Delve makes his first start of the season at No.8.
Gareth Cooper also returns from injury to form a new-look half-back pairing with Chris Paterson, while Olly Morgan pips Iain Balshaw to the No.15 jersey.
Harlequins have made just one change to their line-up for the trip to Kingsholm.
With impressive second row Jim Evans being ruled out by illness, Nicolas Spanghero will partner Ollie Kohn in the engine room.
Back row Chris Hala'ufia has also been struck down by illness so is replaced by Will Skinner on the bench, however Jordan Turner-Hall is fit again to take his place among the replacements.
