Harlequins coach John Kingston has made five changes to his line-up for the visit of defending champions Leicester.
With George Robson suspended for his headbutt in the defeat to Wasps, there is a new-look second row pairing of Jim Evans and Lewis Stevenson.
Gonzalo Camacho is injured so rising star George Lowe comes in on the wing, while Neil McMillan and Tosh Masson start on the bench.
Leicester have named Lions duo Tom Croft and Harry Ellis in their starting XV.
Johne Murphy also returns to the side, with coach Richard Cockerill forced to tweak his backline.
Dan Hipkiss is ruled out with a knee injury, so Matt Smith moves into outside centre, while Murphy starts on the wing.
Aaron Mauger will provide cover from the bench, with prop Robbie Harris also among the replacements for the first time since his summer move.
"The Lions boys are quality players and to have them back in the squad is a great boost for everybody," said Cockerill.
"We start the season with two tough away games and we know we have to improve our game after the defeat at Sale Sharks last Friday."
