Jayden Hayward and Charlie Ngatai will make their Hurricanes debut against the Chiefs on Saturday.
Hayward will replace the suspended Ma'a Nonu, while Ngatai will start on the bench.
Andre Taylor, Chris Eaton, Mark Reddish and Neemia Tialata are also promoted into the starting XV.
Tim Nanai-Williams will move to full-back for the Chiefs after Mils Muliaina was ruled out for a month.
Muliaina damaged his back against the Rebels, so Liam Messam will take over the captaincy.
"It's been disappointing to lose Mils, but we are happy with the overall condition of the squad and we are confident in the leadership of the team with our core group going well," said coach Ian Foster.
There is also another change on the bench with Fitz Lee returning after a knee injury.
