Hurricanes coach Colin Cooper makes four changes to the side that edged out Western Force last weekend for the visit of the Stormers.
Cooper has rotated his back row with openside Karl Lowe dropping to the bench and blindside Faifili Levave out of the squad.
Sevens star Victor Vito gets his second Super 14 start while All Black Scott Waldrom returns from an abdominal strain in the number seven jersey.
Tamati Ellison starts on the right wing in place of Zac Guildford while brother Jacob comes in at loosehead prop ahead John Schwalger.
The New Zealanders could also welcome back Piri Weepu, who missed the victory over Force with a hamstring injury, and has been bracketed with Alby Mathewson at scrum-half pending a fitness test.
Dropped
Stormers scrum-half Ricky Januarie has been dropped from the starting line-up named to face the Hurricanes.
Dewaldt Duvenhage will replace the South Africa international, who drops to the Stormers' bench for the Round Ten Super 14 clash.
A series of sub-standard performances has seen the axe fall on the World Cup-winning number nine and Duvenhage has been given a chance by coach Rassie Erasmus.
Erasmus has made a few further changes, with Hilton Lobberts coming into the second row and Tiaan Liebenberg replacing Schalk Brits at hooker while Brian Mujati has been bracketed with Wicus Blaauw at tighthead due to a head injury.
A returning Brok Harris has been named as a replacement but will have to pass a late fitness test in order to take the field.
