Former All Black Scott Hamilton will make his debut for Leicester when the Tigers entertain Harlequins at the Stoop on Saturday.
Hamilton, who helped Canterbury lift the Air New Zealand Cup before arriving at Welford Road, will start at full-back against the Quins.
And Tigers coach Heyneke Meyer is looking forward to seeing his new signing in action.
"Scott is a top-quality player who gives us options on the wing and at full-back," said Tigers head coach Heyneke Meyer.
"I have seen a lot of him in Super 14 rugby and he is a very consistent player. I am delighted he has joined us."
In the pack Craig Newby will partner Lewis Moody and Brett Deacon in the back row, while Martin Corry will team-up with Ben Kay in the second row.
Injury
Gary Botha has been handed the Harlequins captaincy for the clash against Leicester.
With regular skipper Will Skinner sidelined through injury, Dean Richards has turned to the South African hooker to lead his side.
Skinner's place in the back-row goes to Neil McMillan, while in the backs England full-back Mike Brown is handed the No.15 jersey.
