Andy Goode became the Guinness Premiership's highest scorer as he helped Leicester to a 36-23 victory over Saracens at Welford Road.
Goode drew level with Jonny Wilkinson on 1,413 Premiership points as he kicked all nine of the Tigers' first half points as they went in trailing 13-9 at half time.
The record came in the second half as Goode converted tries from Seru Rabeni, Alesana Tuilagi and Tom Varndell, while kicking a drop-goal and four penalties overall.
Dan Scarborough and Brent Russell scored tries for Saracens but they were not enough in the end and Leicester enjoyed a welcome win after three defeats in their last four.
Saracens back rower Kris Chesney also made history as he made his 194th Premiership appearance - taking him above Simon Shaw and Neal Hatley on the list of record appearance makers.
Goode and Glen Jackson exchanged early penalties before Goode then booted over a drop-goal but Jordan Crane's yellow card was a big blow to the Tigers as Jackson levelled with a penalty.
Scarborough then touched down for a try on 36 minutes despite Leicester appeals for a forward pass in the build-up, and Jackson converted as the half ended at 13-9 thanks to another Goode penalty.
Rabeni grabbed a try for Leicester after the break and Goode's conversion gave him the record and put the Tigers 16-13 in front.
Tuilagi bagged his try in the 57th minute, but six minutes later Saracens got back into it with winger Russell crashing over.
The gap was down to three points after a 68th-minute Jackson penalty but Goode hit a late penalty and Varndell scored a try even later to seal Leicester's victory.
