Ireland skipper Brian O'Driscoll has shaken off a jaw injury to take his place in the Leinster team to face Clermont.
O'Driscoll was forced to sit out the 20-13 defeat to Clermont last time out, but he has been passed fit to partner Gordon D'Arcy in the midfield.
Cian Healy also comes in the starting XV, with Heinke van der Merwe dropping to the bench, but Jamie Heaslip faces a late fitness test.
Heaslip suffered a heavy knock in France so Dominic Ryan is on standby to start.
Clermont have made just two changes for the return fixture at the Aviva Stadium.
Lock Julien Pierre and prop Davit Zirakashvili are promoted from the bench to start, with Loic Jacquet dropping to the bench and Martin Scelzo missing out completely.
