Connacht have made four changes to the side which beat Munster for their Magners League clash against Leinster at Donnybrook.
Fionn Carr comes into the side on the right wing, while up front John Lyne starts at looshead prop alongside Adrian Flavin at hooker. Michael Swift starts in the second row alongside Andrew Farley.
In a number of positional switches Troy Nathan reverts from wing to full-back, while McCarthy moves from the second row to the back row and captain John Muldoon takes position on the blindside.
For Leinster Felipe Contepomi continues his centre partnership with Luke Fitzgerald and Simon Keogh starts on the wing.
Meanwhile, in the pack, Shane Jennings has recovered from injury to take his place at openside flanker, while Stephen Keogh and Cameron Jowitt also come into the starting line-up.
