Montpellier will be playing purely for pride when they host Bath in their Pool 3 Heineken Cup match at Stade Yves du Manoir on Saturday.
The Top 14 side are still without a win after four matches in the competition and can no longer qualify for the quarter-finals.
They are level on six points after four matches with their English opponents who have only managed one win this season.
Both teams are trailing table-toppers Leinster, who are have 16 points from four matches while second-placed Glasgow Warriors have 10 points after the same fixtures.
Skirving starts
Montpellier will be looking to avenge their 16-13 defeat to Bath at the Rec during round two of the competition.
Bath's Dan Hipkiss, Tom Heathcote, Charlie Beech, David Wilson and Ben Skirving all return to the starting line-up forthe tie.
Hipkiss comes into the outside centre role to partner Matt Banahan, whilst Olly Woodburn and Tom Biggs continue on the wings, and Nick Abendanon slots in at full-back.
Tom Heathcote starts at fly-half, partnering Michael Claassens in the half-backs.
Charlie Beech and David Wilson prop down either side of Ross Batty at hooker, with Dave Attwood and Ryan Caldwell once again combining in the engine room.
Ben Skirving starts on the blindside flank, with Francois Louw and Simon Taylor completing the pack at openside and number 8 respectively.
