Munster have made wholesale changes from the squad that lost in Treviso for the visit of Edinburgh in the Magners League.
Wian du Preez, Mick O'Driscoll, Donnacha Ryan and Denis Hurley are all promoted from the bench, while Peter Stringer, Ronan O'Gara, Denis Leamy, Denis Fogarty and Marcus Horan return to the side.
Doug Howlett, Lifeimi Mafi, Paul Warwick, Damian Varley, Tommy O'Donnell and James Coughlan survive the axe following the shock defeat in Italy.
Interim Edinburgh head coach Nick Scrivener has made four changes to his line-up for the trip to Thomond Park.
Centre James King replaces the injured John Houston, while Scott MacLeod and Ross Rennie return to the pack.
The return of Scotland international MacLeod means Fraser McKenzie moves from lock to blindside flanker.
