Llanelli welcome back Wales fly-half Stephen Jones for their trip to Munster on Sunday.
Jones missed last weekend's 29-19 defeat to the 2006 champions at Stradley Park with a neck injury but will return for a match that the Scarlets must win to have any hope of progressing.
Coach Phil Davies has made no fewer than six changes, two in his backline and four up front.
Along with the returning Jones at ten, Jonathan Davies takes over from Gavin Evans at inside centre.
Meanwhile, prop Ben Broster makes his Heinkene Cup debut in place of Deacon Manu, Vernon Cooper steps in for Scott MacLeod, while James Bater and Alix Popham are preferred in the back row to Gavin Thomas and Dafydd Jones.
Davies concedes his side's hopes of progress are slim, but has demanded total commitment from his troops.
"We are still in the competition but we're not going to lie down and make it easy for anyone," he stated.
"It's a great challenge to play back-to-back games against such a great team as Munster. Hopefully we can get a performance."
