New Zealand captain Richie McCaw insists a good performance remains the priority against South Africa in Hamilton.
The All Blacks need a bonus-point victory to keep alive their Tri-Nations hopes at the Waikato Stadium - with anything else seeing the Springboks handed the title.
And that means the All Blacks need to score four tries against a side that has already beaten them twice in this season's tournament.
McCaw, though, claims that his side need to focus on playing well first and then seeing what happens from there.
"The desire is there," said McCaw. "We just haven't got the execution right. We have trained reasonably well this week to ensure that we get that.
"It would be nice to finish off or get Saturday right with a good performance.
"First and foremost we have to go out to perform and look to win the Test match. What happens after that, you see how the game unfolds."
Coach Graham Henry has made two changes to his starting XV, with injuries to Luke McAlister and Conrad Smith seeing Stephen Donald team up with Ma'a Nonu in the centres.
On the bench, there has been call-ups for Adam Thomson, Isaia Toeava and Cory Jane.
Awesome
South Africa need just a solitary point to clinch the title, but skipper John Smit has dismissed speculation that his side would be going for anything other than the victory.
The Springboks won their opening four games of the tournament before coming unstuck last time out against Australia.
And Smit insists that the Boks want to finish the tournament on a high by beating New Zealand.
"We have got to play this game to win it," declared Smit.
"It's another awesome opportunity against the greatest foe. It's a Test match we'll play to win. Everything else will be a sideline distraction."
South Africa coach Peter de Villiers has made just one change to his line-up with Frans Steytn returning to full-back to combat the kicking game of Dan Carter.
Ruan Pienaar drops to the bench as a result, while Bryan Habana and Pierre Spies have both been passed fit to play
