Newcastle Falcons have made five changes and two positional switches ahead of Sunday's European Challenge Cup visit of Italian side Parma.
In the pack Micky Ward takes the place of Jon Golding at loosehead prop, Ed Williamson comes on to the blindside flank and Adam Balding switches back to number eight.
At scrum-half Micky Young starts after returning from England Sevens duty, having been the top try-scorer in last week's IRB Sevens in South Africa.
Tim Visser and John Rudd come on to the wings as Danny Williams misses out with a shoulder injury, while Tom May drops to full-back in place of Steve Jones.
