Injury has forced Reds coach Ewen McKenzie into making one change for Friday's Super 14 clash against the Stormers.
Van Humphries has been ruled out with an ankle injury, so Adam Byrnes comes into the starting XV.
Currently in fourth place on the table, the Reds can overtake their opponents with a win this weekend.
The Stormers have announced an almost unchanged starting line-up for the trip to Brisbane.
Coach Allister Coetzee's only change comes in the front row, where JC Kritzinger comes in for JD Moller at loosehead.
