Scarlets know only a win will do when they welcome Pool Five strugglers Treviso to Parc y Scarlets on Saturday.
The Welsh region kicked off their Heineken Cup season with a stunning win over Perpignan but were well beaten by Leicester last time out in Europe.
Now Nigel Davies' men have the chance to get their campaign back on track against their Italian opponents, who have registered just a point so far.
However the hosts have injury problems to deal with, particularly in the front row.
Deacon Manu and Peter Edwards both suffered fractured arms last weekend, meaning Wales Under 20 prop Simon Gardiner has been thrown into the starting line-up.
To add to Davies' problems, number eight David Lyons and wing Lee Williams both failed late fitness tests on shoulder problems.
At least Scarlets can call upon a trio of internationals. Wales skipper Matthew Rees return to lead the side, while compatriot Stephen Jones is available again after being away for the November internationals.
Scotland's Sean Lamont is also back for his club, forming a dangerous back three with full-back Rhys Priestland and fellow winger Morgan Stoddart.
Meanwhile, in-from Treviso have named a side full of Italian internationals.
Teenage sensation Tommaso Benvenuti moved from outside centre to wing after scoring four tries in the opening two rounds of this season's tournament.
