Llanelli director of rugby Phil Davies has resisted the temptation to rest his star names for the visit of Clermont.
Having reached the semi-finals last season, the Scarlets have endured a Heineken Cup campaign to forget, losing all five of their pool games.
However Davies, who arrived at Stradey Park from Leeds in the summer, has named a strong line-up to take on the French outfit.
Clermont are not completely out of the running to reach the last eight, but they need a lot of results to go their if they are claim one of the two best runners-up spot.
Davies has brought Wales internationals Stephen Jones, Dafydd James and Matthew Rees back into the starting XV, while there is a recall for Gavin Thomas in the back row.
Clermont may be all but out - however that will not stop the French side going in search of clinching one of the two best runners-up spots.
Alexandre Audebert has been given the green light to play, with his citing hearing delayed until Thursday January 24.
