Stephen Jones will make his 300th appearance for the Scarlets when they host fellow Welsh outfit the Dragons in the RaboDirect PRO12 on Friday.
Jones will wear the captain's armband after opting to play for his region this weekend instead of accepting a Barbarians invitation.
He will take the place of Rhys Priestland, who along with Tavis Knoyle, Jon Davies, Matthew Rees, George North, Liam Williams, Scott Williams and Rhodri Jones has been called up for Wales.
Adam Warren returns at centre alongside Gareth Maule, who returns from injury.
Scotland international Sean Lamont starts on the wing with a return to the starting line-up for Nick Reynolds, who has recovered from an ankle injury.
New signing Viliami Iongi is named on the bench after the Tongan landed in Llanelli this week from Auckland.
Meanwhile, Dragons centre Ashley Smith captains his side on his 100th appearance for the region, who make four changes to their starting XV.
Coach Darren Edwards is able to name an unchanged back line, with all four changes amongst the pack and three of them enforced by Wales call-ups.
Rhys Buckley comes in for Lloyd Burns at hooker, Andrew Coombs replaces Lewis Evans and Toby Faletau's place is taken by Tom Brown. The other change comes at prop where Phil Price starts ahead of Nathan Williams.
