Scarlets boss Nigel Davies believes Edinburgh will pose his side a "very serious challenge" at Parc y Scarlets on Sunday.
Andy Robinson's side have become something of a bogey time for the Scarlets in recent years, and Davies is wary of being caught out by them again.
"We often struggle against Edinburgh," he said.
"They play a very open brand of rugby, they use the full width of the field when they attack and they've caught us out on many occasions.
"They'll present a big threat, particularly when we haven't got the ball. I think they'll have a real crack at us and the result will hang just as much on what we do without the ball as what we do with it.
"Our defeat up there in September was pretty much a horror show for us in terms of some of the stuff we did and didn't do so it's imperative that we do all we can to turn things around this weekend."
Edinburgh have named winger Marc Teague on the bench for the trip - with the 27-year-old set to make his first appearance for the club since joining from Heriot's.
Ready
Teague signed professional forms in the summer however he was sidelined at the start of the season by a back injury.
However he insists he is now ready to make an impact on the Magners League.
"I'm really excited about it all. I've been away with Scotland Sevens, so I've had the experience of playing in front of big crowds at international level," he said.
"Before I went away, Andy (Robinson) told me to go and do my best and there may be the chance I'll be involved against Scarlets."
Former Scarlet will make his Edinburgh debut in the second row, while Simon Webster and Hugo Southwell return from international duty.
