Graeme Morrison will make his 100th Magners League start for Glasgow on Friday when the Warriors face the Scarlets at the Parc y Scarlets.
Although the most experienced player in terms of league starts, as of Friday, Morrison will remain just one game shy of matching Dan Parks' all-time Glasgow record of 142 games.
"You never really prepare for occasions like this. The time has gone pretty quickly and you can put that down to the fun I've had since joining seven years ago," he said.
"When I first started, we had players like Glen Metcalfe and Gordon Bulloch in the squad, and I had to pinch myself in the huddles when involved in these games.
"I'm massively proud to play for Glasgow. I speak to guys who have left the club and the atmosphere isn't the same anywhere else. The guys have a real camaraderie, everyone gets on well together, and it's a club I really love playing for."
The Warriors have made four changes to the team that defeated Ospreys 31-23 ahead of Friday's tussle with the Scarlets.
In the backs, Peter Horne is rewarded for his scorching contribution to the win over the Ospreys and starts at full-back in place of Bernardo Stortoni who is rested.
Wingers DTH van der Merwe and Federico Aramburu are reinstated to their starting berths as they recover from the flu and a neck strain respectively.
In the pack, Ed Kalman replaces Moray Low who is unavailable due to a chest injury.
"The boys were outstanding against a quality team last weekend," said Head Coach Sean Lineen.
"They really stepped up to the plate in front of a loud home crowd. However, we have to move on because the Scarlets are a different proposition."
Big performance
Meanwhile, the Scarlets will be looking to build on their strong and commanding performance away from home last weekend against Cardiff Blues, to set the record straight against Glasgow.
The Scarlets have not been successful in their last five encounters against Glasgow.
Following an important victory (16-10) against a strong Cardiff Blues side last week the Scarlets moved to second position in the Magners League with Glasgow currently 10th, and the home side believe it's time for a big performance against their Scottish visitors.
"They're a very good team and showed that last week against the Ospreys; they may be at the wrong end of the league table at the moment, but we know the margins between success and failure are very narrow in this league, it's very competitive and can change quickly," said Scarlets Head Coach Nigel Davies.
"They play a great brand of rugby and they have frustrated us over the last couple of seasons so we really are overdue a big performance against them."
A number of Scarlets internationals are now on duty for the November Tests including fly-half Stephen Jones, recently announced Wales captain hooker Matthew Rees, scrum-half Tavis Knoyle, wing George North, wing Sean Lamont (Scotland) and centre Jon Davies.
The Scarlets will have international back row forward Rob McCusker starting for the region for Friday's clash after he was released back to the region by Wales this week before undergoing a routine groin operation next week.
Sean Lamont (wing) is not fit for selection through illness and Jon Davies (centre) who was due to be released by Wales for this game, pulled up with a minor injury during training with Wales earlier this week (ankle).
David Lyons does not make the fitness race (shoulder) so number eight Ben Morgan, who put in a strong performance last week against the Blues, returns to the starting line-up, as does Wales sevens star Lee Williams on the wing for his first Scarlets start of the season along with rising talent Nick Reynolds who comes onto the wing for Sean Lamont.
