Scarlets v Munster: Guinness PRO12 preview
Last Updated: 20/02/15 6:06pm
Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac has named an unchanged side to take on Munster on Saturday as they seek to maintain their unbeaten home record in the PRO12.
His counterpart Anthony Foley, meanwhile, has made eight changes as Munster bid to go to the top of the PRO12 table, however briefly with leaders Glasgow not playing until a few hours later.
Carmarthen-born hooker Ken Owens will lead the unchanged Scarlets side out at Parc y Scarlets, where they haven't lost in the league since Boxing Day 2013.
The game will mark a 50th appearance for the Scarlets for 21-year-old full back Jordan Williams, who played in their bonus point win against Connacht last Sunday.
The West Wales region's top points scorer, Rhys Priestland, joins Gareth Davies and Rob Evans on the replacements bench after having been released by the Wales camp for this weekend's game.
Pivac said: "Munster have a good record. They are near top of the table. They'll bring a different threat from Connacht and across the board are slightly stronger.
"It's an important game for us. We need to back up the performance on the weekend and make sure it's not a one-off."
Munster haven't won at Parc y Scarlets since December 2011 and Foley is calling on the services of his returning internationals, Tommy O'Donnell, Felix Jones and Ian Keatley, who was a late withdrawal last week due to illness.
The squad which defeated Cardiff Blues last weekend is further boosted by the return to the wing of Andrew Conway, who was out with flu, and the return to the starting line-up of CJ Stander after injury.
Foley has named a new front row of Dave Kilcoyne, Kevin O'Byrne and Stephen Archer, while Stander and Tommy O'Donnell join Dave O'Callaghan in the back row.
Keatley resumes his partnership with Duncan Williams in the half-backs, while captain Denis Hurley and Keith Earls remain in situ with Conway and Felix Jones joining Luke O'Dea in the back three.
