Leeds Carnegie include no fewer than 13 academy graduates in their 22-man squad to take on the Scarlets in the LV= Cup opener on Saturday.
Two of them, Dominic Barrow and James Craig, will make their debuts for the Aviva Premiership outfit when they line-up alongside each other in the second row. Barrow, 17, will become the first player to debut for the club who was born after it was formed in 1992.
Flanker Kearnan Myall will skipper the side for the first time in a pack where only Mike MacDonald and Alfie To'oala are not products of the academy.
The bench houses a further three possible debutants, England U18 captain Chris Walker, Oliver Stedman and scrum-half Craig Hampson.
"We have got a few guys who have played a lot of rugby so far this season so they will get a well earned rest this week but we are very excited about the young players who are coming through," stated coach Neil Back.
"They have been working hard in the A team and out on loan over the past two years and deserve their opportunity to pull on a first team jersey."
