Phil Godman is determined to make the Scotland No.10 jersey his own with an impressive display against Australia on Saturday.
The Edinburgh fly-half caught the eye against Fiji with a near-faultless performance, justifying his selection ahead of Scotland's record points-scorer Chris Paterson.
Godman now, though, wants to prove he can raise his game against the best by tackling the Wallabies at Murrayfield.
And the 27-year-old knows that means going head-to-head with one of the game's great No.10s in Matt Giteau.
"Him and Dan Carter are the two best stand-offs around by quite a bit at the moment," Godman said.
"It will show where I am personally but it's also a great game to show where we are as a team as well."
Tough
Scotland coach Andy Robinson has kept faith in the same XV that beat Fiji - with the Wallabies making just two changes to the side that drew with Ireland.
George Smith comes in for David Pocock despite the latter being the man-of-the match in Dublin, while Digby Ioane is a late withdrawal so is replaced by Ryan Cross.
And Australia coach Robbie Deans is expecting another tough encounter.
"They're playing at home, have nothing to lose, and much to gain," said Deans.
"They'll bring a lot of enthusiasm and hunger to Saturday. They'll also be very physical, totally committed and well-organised."
