Veteran full-back Percy Montgomery will start his first game for the Stormers this season against the Blues at Newlands on Saturday.
Montgomery, the most capped Springbok, takes over at No.15 from current South African full-back Conrad Jantjes, who is struggling to recover from a calf injury.
After a strong performance last week, head coach Rassie Erasmus has stuck with Luke Watson at number eight.
Willem de Waal also will be making his first appearance this season, albeit on the bench.
The Blues have been boosted with the return of winger Joe Rokocoko, scrum-half Taniela Moa and flanker Jerome Kaino ahead of the clash in Cape Town.
The Blues trio will start at Newlands, adding some firepower to a side hammered 59-26 by the Bulls in Pretoria.
All three arrived late in South Africa after being on hand for the births of their first children in Auckland.
All Blacks winger Rokocoko starts ahead of the impressive Rene Ranger on the right wing, Moa come in for Chris Smylie while Kaino gets the nod at No.8 ahead of Chris Lowrey, who is bracketed at lock with Kurtis Haiu.
Haiu suffered a head knock against the Bulls and is still being assessed.
