Stormers coach Alister Coetzee insists there is more to come from his side when they take on the Brumbies on Friday.
The Newlands-based side have opened up the new Super 14 campaign with victories over the Lions and the Waratahs.
And Coetzee believes his side can get better as the season goes on.
"I think besides the defensive effort we put in as a side, I'm very pleased with the victory at home," he said.
"As a team, we're really growing. Last week we went up to the Lions and played against an unknown quality of team with a different coach at altitude.
"This week we came down to Newlands and lost our captain in the first couple of minutes in the game.
Composure
"It just shows me that the side is really growing. Andries Bekker had to take over the leadership and there was a lot of composure in the side. To pull off a game against the Waratahs says that as a team we're improving every week."
Captain Schalk Burger is ruled out the match through injury - so the only change to the side sees Pieter Louw promoted from the bench.
Pieter Myburgh is named among the replacements.
Former Wallabies second row Justin Harrison has been dropped to the bench for the Brumbies' trip to Cape Town.
Harrison makes way for Ben Hand following the 50-32 thumping at the hands of the Bulls.
And Brumbies coach Andy Friend believes the clash with the Stormers could be pivotal to his side's hopes this season.
"There's no doubt this game is a key one for us," said Friend.
"If we can leave Perth and South Africa with two wins from the first three weeks - and seven of our next nine matches at home, it has the potential to set you up for a successful season."
