Sormers coach Allister Coetzee has made just one change to his team for Friday's clash with play-off rivals the Crusaders at Newlands.
The only alteration to the side that lost to the Reds last Friday is the inclusion of JD Moller at loosehead prop. He replaces JC Kritzinger, who suffered a calf injury in the Brisbane fixture. Eusebio Guinazu will be one of the substitutes.
Meanwehile, Griquas prop Albertus Buckle is the newest member of the Stormers extended squad.
The media speculated earlier this week that Coetzee was interested in the services of Springbok prop BJ Botha from Ulster in Ireland and the name of All Black Greg Somerville was also mentioned.
Coetzee on Wednesday opted to go closer to home when he roped in Buckle.
"There is no prop crisis," he said at the media conference.
"We still have a full squad and Albertus is here as part of our contingency plans. He's been doing some shadowing at training today and getting to know our systems."
McCaw milestone
Crusaders have named hooker Corey Flynn in the starting line-up to face the Stormers in Cape Town.
Flynn, who has been sidelined with a cracked bone in his left ankle for the past four matches, joined the squad after playing 40 minutes for his Sydenham club team last weekend.
Flynn replaces Ti'i Paulo, who drops to the bench.
In other changes to the team which lost to the Force last weekend, Wyatt Crockett starts at loosehead prop ahead of Ben Franks and Kieran Read moves from blindside flanker to number eight replacing Thomas Waldrom.
George Whitelock starts at blindside flanker allowing skipper Richie McCaw to take his favoured number seven position in his Richie McCaw.
In the backs, Sean Maitland moves from full-back to right wing, replacing Adam Whitelock. Colin Slade starts at full-back.
Jared Payne, who travelled with Flynn to South Africa, has recovered from concussion suffered in the match against the Cheetahs two weeks ago and has been named on the reserves bench.
